The Government Stimulus Cheque Arrived Via Snail Mail
Although it was promised to arrive sooner than later, our household finally received the government stimulus cheque in the mail yesterday. I can't for the life of me understand why it came as snail mail. We always use direct deposit for the tax returns, and the government was supposed to use direct deposit with this money as well. Alas, this morning a trip to the bank...
I appreciate having the extra cash, especially since my spouse has recently come home after nine days in the hospital. He had the flu and pneumonia. And he is on a short time (paid) leave from work until he re-coops enough to actually do the job. Anyway, we have a good use for some of the cash. He's enrolling in an online degree program that he's been wanting to do for a long time. Each module is paid for as you go, and the extra cash will get him enrolled, receive his first unit, buy an additional module, and his text books. So, that's what we are using this cash for. I am happy with that. The rest will go into savings, for a rainy day.
So, that's what we're doing with the extra money. :)
